Energy Department's Research Office Gets a New Leader
After a wait of nine months, the Department of Energy's Office of Science has a new director, although the administrator may hold the post for only a short time.
Mildred S. Dresselhaus, a professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, was sworn in last week to take over the office, which finances most of the agency's campus-based research. She replaces Martha Krebs, who resigned in December.
