Energy Department Renews U. of California's Contract to Run National Laboratories
After months of intense scrutiny over security lapses, the Department of Energy awarded the University of California a new contract this month to manage the Los Alamos and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories. Under the pact, the university retains oversight of the facilities through 2005.
