Emory U. to Teach Science to Tibetan Buddhists
Emory University has had a close relationship with the Dalai Lama ever since the spiritual leader of Tibet agreed to be the commencement speaker in 1998.
Now the two are working together on a project that may fundamentally change monastic education for Tibetan Buddhists.
At the Dalai Lama's request, professors at Emory are developing a science-education program that will be introduced in monasteries and nunneries gradually over the next five years.
