Elon Spells Elan With a Phoenix
The Fightin' Christians are fightin' no more.
When Elon College's baseball team trotted off the diamond for the last time this season, on May 18, it was the curtain call for the college's rough-and-ready ecclesiastical nickname, as well as its mascot, Mr. E.
Next year, Elon's athletes will be known by their shiny new moniker, "the Phoenix."
