Effort to Tax College Employees for Tuition Breaks Fails Again
Congress has once again failed in its efforts to tax a key employee benefit offered by colleges.
An amendment that would have required college employees and their children to pay federal income taxes on tuition reductions provided by their institutions was narrowly defeated last month in a vote in the U.S. Senate.
