Edwards Establishes College-Aid Program

Losing his bid for the vice presidency didn't stop John Edwards, the Democratic candidate last year, from moving forward with one of the higher-education programs he proposed during his campaign.

Mr. Edwards announced last month that he and several nonprofit groups were starting a pilot program to test the feasibility of a privately financed version of his College for Everyone plan.
