Education Secretary Calls for Better Data
Improved data on the educational progress of students are needed to help policy makers and educators devise strategies to prepare young people for college, the U.S. education secretary, Margaret Spellings, told state education officials this month at a conference sponsored by the National Governors Association and the U.S. Education Department.
