Education Dept. to Study High-School Senior Year
The U.S. Department of Education wants to encourage high-school seniors to do more than count the days until graduation, and has appointed a commission to recommend how to do that. The 30-member group, which met in Washington last week for the first time, hopes to strengthen high-school students' transition to college, vocational training, or a career.
