Education Dept. Sets Final Details of Loan-Rescue Plan and Hints at Broader Overhaul of Student-Aid System

The Department of Education has finalized its rescue plan for the student-loan industry, and lenders are generally satisfied with the outcome.
The department issued on Wednesday a notice that, when published in the Federal Register, will make official the terms and conditions of the rescue plan it first announced in May.
