Education Dept. Resolves Last of 25 Bias Complaints Filed by Women's Group
Better late than never.
Earlier this month, the National Women's Law Center issued a press release hailing the end of its two-and-a-half-year crusade to get more scholarship money for female college athletes.
In June 1997, the center had commemorated the 25th anniversary of the passage of Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 by filing complaints against 25 colleges and universities. The complaints, filed with the U.S. Department of Education's
