Education Dept. Probes ITT Technical Institutes
The company that operates ITT Technical Institutes has disclosed that it is being investigated by the U.S. Department of Education.
As a result of the inquiry, students who enroll at two planned new locations can't participate in federal financial-aid programs. The inquiry apparently focuses on how ITT pays its student recruiters.
The inquiry does not affect financial-aid eligibility for ITT's existing 68 institutes, which enroll over 28,000 students in
