Education Department Orders U. of Phoenix to Pay $650,000
The U.S. Education Department has ordered the University of Phoenix to pay a total of $650,000 to the federal government and to lenders, ending a two-year audit of the management of federal financial-aid funds on the university's campuses around the nation.
In its final report, released last month, the Education Department said it had found system-wide problems with Phoenix's administration of student aid,
