Education Company Raises IPO Price

The stock isn’t yet for sale, but a company that runs an online university for military students has increased the price of its shares.

American Public Education, which runs American Public University, has revalued its initial public offering of stock at $18 to $19 per share, up from $15 to $17 per share last month. Investor interest in the IPO is the apparent reason. The Associated Press reports that the company has amended its Securities and Exchange Commission filing only days before the stock is set to go on sale.
