Economics Professor Pleads Guilty to Fraud
A former Charleston Southern University economics professor, who was accused of defrauding the university and hundreds of other investors out of $90-million, pleaded guilty in federal court in Charleston, S.C.
The professor, Albert E. Parish Jr., who authorities say spent the proceeds on cars, clothing, and a world-class pen collection, could face 45 years in prison when he is sentenced.
