Earthquakes May Cause Eruptions by Distant Volcanoes
Large earthquakes appear to trigger eruptions by distant volcanoes, evidently because they disturb the subterranean network of molten rock on which volcanoes draw for their eruptions, two researchers reported in the October 29 issue of Nature.
