EPA Proposes Fine for Fitchburg State
The Boston office of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has proposed fining Fitchburg State College $358,000 for violating hazardous-waste laws.
The college had improperly stored laboratory chemicals that could have exploded or released toxic vapors near two active classrooms, the agency said.
