ECollege Moves Into Enrollment and Marketing Services
The course-management company eCollege announced last month that it is acquiring Datamark, which offers enrollment and marketing services to for-profit institutions, for $72-million. Officials at eCollege plan to expand those services eventually to online education.
Oakleigh Thorne, chairman and chief executive officer of eCollege, said his customers' biggest request was for marketing, enrollment, and retention services. "We'll be able to integrate the Datamark product line," he said.
