ECollege Announces Plan to Lay Off 35 Employees
The distance-learning company eCollege said last month that it would lay off approximately 35 of its 330 employees. The company provides consulting, courseware, and other services to colleges that are putting their courses online.
The announcement comes on the heels of a decision by UNext to eliminate 52 jobs, from a total of 390. UNext is a high-profile distance-learning venture that offers the corporate market a selection of online business courses produced by partners like Columbia
