E-Mail Threats Keep College in Pennsylvania Closed for a 4th Day

A series of e-mail messages threatening attacks on the scale of this month’s shootings at Virginia Tech has shut down Delaware County Community College today for the fourth day in a row, according to The Philadelphia Inquirer. About a dozen messages were received at the Pennsylvania institution last week, and its five campuses have been closed since Thursday. The episode is one of many that have disrupted American campuses since the April 16 massacre at Virginia Tech. The community college’s Web site said it would not reopen until authorities had declared it safe to do so. —Andrew Mytelka
