Duke Incident Raises Issues About Culture of the Campus
University officials look for answers in aftermath of rape allegations
On Duke University's main quad, a homemade banner proclaims "51 Service Organizations @ Duke." Students here hung the sign to remind passers-by of the good that student volunteers regularly do for the campus and the Durham community. But in the midst of a racially charged scandal, that message is muted.
