Duke Gets $75-Million, Its Biggest Gift Ever
Duke University is receiving a $75-million donation — the largest gift in its history — from the Duke Endowment, a separate organization in Charlotte, N.C., officials announced last week.
The donation will be paid to the university over the next three years and will be used for need-based student aid. The university will also use the gift in a matching campaign, in an effort to double the money.
