Drexel U. Adopts Corporate Code of Conduct for Its Trustees

Drexel University has apparently become the first institution to adopt principles of federal legislation that calls for raising the standards of ethical behavior for board members of publicly traded companies.

The Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002, a wide-ranging effort to combat corporate and accounting fraud, applies only to those corporate-board members. But Drexel officials thought it was fitting to apply the law at a university as well.
