Donor Provides 105 Steinway Pianos to Oklahoma City Music School
Big ambitions helped pave the way for a donation of 105 Steinway pianos costing $2.1-million to Oklahoma City University School of Music. The gift, from the mother of a 1979 music-school graduate and professional pianist, is the largest single sale in the 148-year history of Steinway & Sons.
New pianos were a major priority for the music school when it developed a $40-million strategic plan a few years ago, says Mark Parker, the dean, and "there was no question" that Steinways
