Donor Pledges $70-Million to Troubled Oral Roberts U.
A donor has pledged to give troubled Oral Roberts University $70-million, but on the condition that it reform its leadership. The university's president, Richard Roberts, the son of the founder and namesake, resigned the day after Thanksgiving amid allegations that he had spent thousands of dollars on family gifts and vacations using money from the university and the affiliated Oral Roberts Ministries.
