Don't Look, Mom and Dad

Police officers at the University of Colorado at Boulder have posted online photographs of 150 people, many of them apparently students at the university, who were seen smoking marijuana during the annual “420” event last week. According to a short article in today’s Rocky Mountain News, the police are offering $50 rewards to snoops who will identify the people in the pictures, and the authorities have already identified a number of them. Pro-pot celebrations like “420” have been held for years on campuses like Colorado and the University of Vermont (The Chronicle, November 19, 2004).
