Doctoral Student Working on Google Project to Display 'Expanded Text Extracts'
A doctoral student at the University of New South Wales, in Australia, is the brains behind what could become Google's newest search technology.
The student, Ori Allon, has been hired by the company to work on his own search engine, Orion, a program that displays search results as "expanded text extracts" so Web surfers don't have to click on links to get the information they seek.
