Doctor Is Accused of Improperly Prescribing Drugs to University of Washington Athletes
A physician who has worked with the University of Washington's athletics department improperly prescribed thousands of doses of steroids, painkillers, and other drugs to athletes, trainers, |and himself over the past four years, state health officials said this month.
William J. Scheyer, who most recently served as a volunteer physician for the softball team, wrote prescriptions for large quantities of drugs under his own name or in the names of athletes or trainers at the university,
