Diversity at Liberal-Arts Colleges, 1992-2012
Top liberal-arts institutions in the United States were 60 percent more racially diverse in 2012 than in 1992, but still only as much as top research universities were two decades ago. The diversity index measures, on a scale of 0 to 100, the probability that any two students at an institution are from different racial or ethnic groups.
