Distance-Learning Group Blends Offerings of 2- and 4-Year Colleges
Although most community colleges were created to think and act locally, increasing numbers are finding a niche in the global realm of distance education.
Community colleges are active in both the Southern Regional Electronic Campus and in Western Governors University, and now three have joined a group of four-year public universities in Massachusetts to create the state's first distance-learning consortium.
