Distance-Education Institutions Create Advocacy Group in Washington
Some of the biggest players in the distance-education market have come together to create a Washington-based lobbying group.
The Online Learning, Research and Training Association, formed in October, so far has the backing of the University of Phoenix and Capella University, two for-profit institutions. The association plans to have about six founding members and hopes to sign up other backers soon, including perhaps Pennsylvania State University's World
