Distance-Education Rule Should Be Eased, Education Department Says
Congress should ease a student-aid regulation that limits the growth of distance-education programs, the Department of Education says.
A report released by the department says a project called the Distance Education Demonstration Program has shown that waiving financial-aid restrictions on distance-education providers did not lead to any problems among the 107 institutions chosen to participate in the study.
