Plagiarism Battles Reach President's Office" (The Chronicle, September 21), your reporter writes that Glenn Poshard "has disparaged the motivations of whoever passed his dissertation to the student newspaper (referring repeatedly to the 'anonymous allegations')." This wording suggests the materials involved were secret and confidential in some way. This is not the case.
