Displaced Students Change Course, for Better or Worse
Meeting basic needs forces many to put educations on hold, while others do fine elsewhere
For a few days this month, students in the Gulf Coast region all found themselves in similar straits. None were thinking about registering for classes or buying books. Most concentrated on evacuating the area and taking care of their basic needs for food, water, and shelter.
