Digital Descent Into Darkness
Peter Bardazzi wants his students to go to hell. Not literally, but in a three-week program he'll offer this summer at New York University called "Projects in Hell."
Mr. Bardazzi, director of the university's Center for Advanced Digital Applications, says he'll ask students "to go there and back,"and to digitally depict what they see.
So students, as a group, will create a vision of the netherworld, much as Dante did in the Inferno and as Joseph Conrad did in Heart of Darkness.
