Dickinson President Is Leading Candidate for Education Dept. Post
The outgoing president of Dickinson College, A. Lee Fritschler, appears to be the leading candidate to replace David A. Longanecker as the U.S. Education Department's chief policy maker on college issues.
The department has been searching for a new Assistant Secretary for postsecondary education since February, when Mr. Longanecker announced he was leaving the post.
