Despite E-Mail Vote, Pluto's Planethood Is Not in Doubt, Astronomers Say
Astronomers on planet Earth are voting via e-mail on how to classify Pluto, an icy, oddball rock that bears little resemblance to its gaseous neighbors in the far reaches of the solar system. Specifically, the astonomers are deciding whether it should be listed as a "Transneptunian Object."
But no matter how the vote turns out, the astronomers rushed to say last week, no one is questioning Pluto's planethood
