Democrats Support Cultural EndowmentsBush Taps Businessman for Technology Post
Democrats in the House of Representatives said at a budget hearing last week that they wanted to see significant increases for the nation's arts and humanities endowments, despite President Bush's plans to keep them at current budget levels. Republicans on the panel did not offer any statements of support or opposition to a budget increase.
