Defining Conservatism

To the Editor:

Technical foul on your February 11 "Ways & Means." It says that Bob Jones University "certainly has a conservative reputation. It bans interracial dating." The ban on interracial dating has nothing to do with conservatism. For the author to cite the ban as an example of conservatism is mistaken -- and insulting to conservatives, who largely repudiate the policy, even if some of them do defend the university's right to set its own policies,
