Decision in Yale Case Leaves Graduate Students and University Both Claiming Victory
A 1995 grade strike by graduate teaching assistants at Yale University violated labor law, according to a ruling last week by a three-member panel of the National Labor Relations Board. But the panel declined to rule on the big question in the case: Are T.A.'s employees?
Instead, the labor board sent that question back to an administrative-law judge to let him decide.
