Deciding Who Can Play Sports in College

Why doesn't the basketball court look like America? Welch Suggs's article "Fight Over N.C.A.A. Standards Reflects Long-Standing Dilemma" (April 9) misses the basket. Judge Ronald L. Buckwalter decided to abolish the National Collegiate Athletic Association's requirements for athletic scholarships because requiring recipients of such scholarships to achieve a certain score on the SAT or ACT exam
