Dean of Stanford U. Law School Will Lead Hewlett Foundation
The outgoing dean of the law school at Stanford University won't have to travel far to start his next job.
Paul Brest, who will leave Stanford this summer, will become president of the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, one of the nation's largest such institutions, on January 1.
The foundation, based in Menlo Park, Cal., has assets of about $2-billion. It authorized $52.3-million in grants in 1997,
