Deal Allows Survival of a Beleaguered Nonprofit University in Cleveland
Despite severe financial problems, Myers University will remain open, an Ohio judge said on Friday.
A nonprofit Cleveland business college, Myers had been facing ruin until it received $500,000 last week from an investment group whose members include owners of the University of Northern Virginia, a for-profit college. Myers will now operate under an interim president and a new Board of Trustees, according to a plan approved last week by Judge Daniel Gaul of the Cuyahoga County
