Deaf Students Sue Utah State U.
Twelve current and former students who are deaf filed a federal lawsuit last week accusing Utah State University of violating the Americans With Disabilities Act by failing to provide them with adequate sign-language interpreters and other services.
The suit in U.S. District Court alleges that the university discriminates against deaf students by denying them equal access to educational opportunities and failing to provide them services in a timely manner. Also named as a defendant is
