DePaul U. Sells Former Barat College Campus to Developer
A Chicago developer is the new owner of the Barat College campus.
DePaul University, the college's former owner, announced last month that it had sold the 102-year-old campus, in Lake Forest, Ill. It will be converted into a residential community called Barat Woods.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Barat, which merged with DePaul in 2001, closed at the end of the 2004-5 academic year. DePaul shut down the institution because the cost of upgrading Barat's facilities
