DNA Pioneer Gets Her Due
Rosalind E. Franklin (1920-58) died young and unrecognized, but now a medical institution in Chicago is hoping to increase its own name recognition by using hers.
The Finch University of Health Sciences/Chicago Medical School last month became the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science to honor the pioneering female scientist for her contributions to the discovery of the structure of DNA. An X-ray photograph taken by Ms. Franklin showed unmistakably for the first time
