Cultivating Generosity
The words "alumni event" typically conjure images of cocktail fund raisers and football tailgaters, but as more colleges encourage service among their students, they are asking graduates, too, to get their hands dirty.
Alumni from the College of Wooster gathered in 23 cities this month for a variety of service projects as part of what the college calls "Scots in Service" day, after its nickname. Former students cleared a trail in Raleigh and Durham, N.C., sorted groceries at a food
