Court Rules U. of California Must Repay Student Fees
The University of California must pay more than $33-million to students who accused it of breach of contract when it raised tuition despite an apparent pledge not to do so, a state appellate court has ruled.
In a 3-0 opinion, the California Court of Appeals in San Francisco upheld a lower court's decision this month, ruling that implied contracts had been formed between the university and the students.
