Court Rules Against Disabled Ex-Student
A student with a learning disability who flunked out of the University of California at Davis's medical school is not covered by the Americans With Disabilities Act, a federal appeals court ruled in August.
The student, Andrew H.K. Wong, had asserted that the university violated his rights under the act when it denied him extra time to prepare for a clinical clerkship, or specialized training in a core area of medical practice, in his third year of medical school.
