Court Reduces Size of Cuts to Alabama Colleges
The Supreme Court of Alabama ruled late last month that a state budget cut must be spread evenly among the state's public-school systems and public colleges when state tax collections fall below expectations. The ruling significantly reduces the size of budget cuts facing the state's colleges this year.
