Court Finds Bias at Kent State U.
A federal appeals court ruled last month that Kent State University had unfairly paid a retired female professor less than a male colleague with similar experience, duties, and performance.
The decision of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit reversed a 1998 ruling in Kent State's favor by a lower-court judge. The appeals court sent the case back to that judge, asking him to determine how much the university owes Dorothy Kovacevich. She maintains
